Greek mythology is particularly rich in gods and demons, due to the fact that ancient Greeks used to personalize every natural phenomenon and abstract meaning. The list of the twelve gods presents variations from place to place. The most known one is including the following: Zeus, Hera, Athena, Poseidon, Dimitra, Apollo, Artemis, Hermes, Mars, Aphrodite, Hephaestus and Hestia. The cloudless and by the eternal light lightened mountain Olympus was their residence. It is there, they had their palaces, amused themselves by dancing, eating ambrosia and drinking nectar.
Very good-looking, the immortal gods lived in the image of mortal-people. They fell in love, got jealous, quarreled and got hurt. Unlike mortal people, they lived their lives spared not only from death but every material and moral restraints.
Despite the carefree life and easy-going characters of their gods, people used to deeply respect them and feel next to them during the course of their lives.
